Tomorrow I'm going to shoot a local Hare Scramble offroad event with bikes and ATV's. I went to the course today to scout it out. It's much larger than I anticipated, but after talking to one of the organizers I have free range to get to anywhere I desire to take photos. I've located 3 or 4 prime locations, all of which I can get fairly close to the action (8-12 feet or so).

I now know that I'll be doing alot of walking and don't want to weigh myself down too much as the terrain is pretty rough. I have the following lenses to choose from...

Canon 70-200 2.8
Canon 17-55 IS 2.8
Tamron 28-75 2.8
Sigma 15 fisheye
Canon 50 1.4

I'm tempted to leave the 70-200 home, but I'm afraid that something will present itself in which I want more reach.....which leads me to believing I should bring it. Which other lens or lenses should I bring? I'd like to stick to 2 lenses but might bring 3 to be on the safe side. I'm hoping someone here has experience from a similar event that can shed some light on my dilema.

option A) just the 70-200 and 17-55
option B) just the 70-200 and 28-75
option C) Fisheye and 28-75 (lightest combo, not sure if it'll leave me hanging though)

Part of the course is in heavy woods, not very well lit. Should I bring my 430EX flash or will I be able to get fast enough shutter speeds?

70-200 and the flash is what I'd be taking, as its usually pretty dark in the woods.

Update for anyone who may face a similar situation. I brought the 17-55 IS , 15mm fisheye, and 70-200 2.8 w/ 430EX. Should have brought the Tamron 28-75 instead of the 17-55 and 15mm, but was sure glad I had the 70-200 and flash. It was a new experience for me and was a blast, other than some light rain and fog. I had to leave early when my battery died and I discovered my spare was wet in my pocket. I didn't want to risk putting it in my camera. Ended up with over 600 shots for the day though.
