Opinion needed! red color cast and brightness

Yes to both , I think so slightly , to me they both seem a little flat in contrast also .

First one definitely needs some unsharp mask/contrast and second some highlight recovery--can barely see her face.

I can see a slight red cast in the shadow areas behind the laptop and on the wall in the first one. No cast on the model. Colorzilla (firefox plugin) confirms.
I agree the second one needs a bit of contrast enhancement. There is only a few points difference between her face and the wall.

Maybe a tiny red color cast on the first one, and a little bright. The second is at least a stop overexposed, maybe even two stops.

What PP are you using?

Lightroom (and I think CS3) have the White Balance tool. Her blouse seems to be very white and could be used for white balance.

A light-skinned blonde won't provide much contrast on a near white background; perhaps a bit of darkening would help - or a bit more contrast as suggested. I'd agree with the over-exposure comment.

What does the second one look like in colour? The skin tones would likely contrast with the background better.

Both images are over exposed and she is right the color is definitely off.
I did a couple of adjustments on the first image. That image has a very business like professional composition. when fixed it make a nice shot.

thanks everyone having a look, and even doing an edit! well, its time to check those shots again. my monitor isnt calibrated yet. its new samsung 244t and i've taken it out of the box three times. my main display is laptops one. client has own graphic station i guess. its pr agency.
