This bird has been using this dead head while guarding the feeder. Shot at 400mm with a 80-400 Tokina. Thought I'd better get busy and get some shots; the feeder will come down in about a month.

Nice capture! Good job of filling the frame with such a tiny bird! It does seem a bit out of focus. You could probably add more light in post processing as well.

Nice shot. I had a migrater too that used the same kind of weed to guard his feeder. It was also in the sun, so maybe he was just keeping warm. :)

You should leave the feeders up at least 3 weeks after you see the last hummer. :)
