View Full Version : Image looks different in browser

I've been having a strange problem when converting to JPEGs ever since I started using a mac. The images tend to look blown out and flat. They look fine in Photoshop and Lightroom but don't look nearly as good in the browser.

Here's a side by side comparison. The image on the left is being viewed in Preview where the one on the right is Safari

I usually shoot in sRGB and export JPEG from lightroom... I'm clueless... any suggestions would be great.

In the photo of your friend holding the laptop, it's displaying Firefox.
If that's what you are using: Firefox (opposed to Safari and Preview) isn't color managed.
Since you say the image is sRGB, I'm guessing that you also set the Mac to gamma 1.8. Don't. Use 2.2.

If the comparison you're showing is indeed Preview vs. Safari, something else is wrong.
