IR Question

Thought I'd try this here:

I've been using my old G1 with an R72 filter to do Infra Red, and just started looking at the A630/640 cameras. They look to be quite capable, and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience doing some IR photography with them.

Don't know about A630/640 cameras, but I have tried the R72 IR filter with both of my G6/G1 with great fun. :p

Here's the link (http://www.pbase.com/boutty/infrared_r72) to some of my IR images. The first 4 were taken with G6 and the last 4 were G1. Personally I think the G1 produces better results. ;)

Of course, I learnt all this from here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40366). Let me know if I could help with anything about them. :cool:

Thanks for the reply Boutty, I also have learned all I know about IR from this Forum, and I am looking forward to the fall colors, and am interested to see what will happen with IR. I spoke to my camera store buddy, and they will let me try a 640/ filter & adapter. I should be able to tell in about ten minutes how the camera does with IR. Nice shots in your link:)
