I've never posted any photos in this section, but I figured there was a first time for everything!!!! Anyway................

I was at my cousins (the groom) wedding over the weekend, and I was suppose to be the photographer, but the Brides family hired someone else, which was fine, I got to enjoy the wedding more.

I did manange to get some pitures that the photographer missed out on, which is a whole other story....... So I thought that I would share 2 of them here and see what everyone thought. C&C welcome!!

#1 is ok. Dress is a little blown out, but it could work. The picture behind her head should be removed.

#2 does nothing for me. The pose is a little awkward and the background is not interesting.

Same thing happened to me. I went to my niece's wedding and spent $1000 to get there and the groom's family hired a pro, who was a family friend, to shoot it. So, I did shoot a few, but stood back and let the pro take care of most of it. Had fun anyway. Your first shot is beautiful.

I like the concept of your first shot but the blown out dress is working against it. Also both shots seem to have focused right behind the bride leaving her a little soft unfortunately.
Where did you focus?

Hi there Kiddo,

How's life in the Moncton area? I did my bachelor there!

Some nice pictures there, I'm sure the bride will like them.

Just a quick tip: watch your backgrounds! There is a frame growing out of the bride's head in #1 (and the highlights are quite blown) and I don't see why you would want to include the building in the background of #2 (unless it's significant for the bride as it's not the most aesthetic building and doesn't add anything to the composition of the picture).

HI there!
Things here in Moncton are great! Nice to see someone that knows where I'm from. The picture did annoy me, but really it was better than what was on the other 2 walls. More really large photos. And yes the building in the back ground is important to the bride, she asked to have some of the building in the photo. It's where the entire wedding was held.

Thanks for the comments everyone. We did try to remove the photo but some how they put them up so that you can't just take them down. All the photos that we wanted to move were that way. Why? Well no one could really figure that one out. LOL!!

Great to see someone else from NB here!

Anyway........................

I was a little annoyed with the photographer that Dianes family hired. She showed up in flips, shots and a tank top, had a hard time with the little kids, rushed through everything. Missed several pictures that Diane really wanted. Then I found out that she only brought along one 1g card???????? 5 mins before the reception and she only has 4 pictures left?? What's up with that? She didn't get any photos of the reception or dance. Then the best thing of all, it wasn't her camera that she was using!!! But yet she was suppose to be a pro??

Here's a couple of more pictures from the wedding!!

Hey Tanya, WOW that is quite an "unprofessional" professional!!! SOunds like she didn`t know what she was doing!! I can`t imagine being that prepared for a Paid job. Thankfully you were there to "catch" the photos she missed!! You did a great job.....

Hi Teri:
It was too bad really. Oh well, live and learn. I got the shots that she missed and that's all that matters!! I know that probably sounds mean, but you should be more prepared for a wedding than that!!
