So hard to take one lens. I was there last year and wished I had a lens longer than my 85. The 17-40 was wonderful, but you really do need the 18-200 or even 300mm lens. Have fun! There are so much wildlife there, if you are lucky to see them out.

I wish I could take my 10-20mm :( I'm really in it for the landscape photos. Sunrise and sunset photos will be key. I'm hoping that the ND filter will really come into play.

For wildlife I would need a 500mm f/4 lens which I'll never own.

If I could go this fall, I'd take my 17-40 and 70-200 f4 and 1.4 extender with my 5D. That would be perfect. And I think your ND will be fine. I used a CP and the sky looked very good.
