I've not pursued weddings up until now mainly due to weekends being such precious time for our family, but an opportunity came along an I took the job. What do you think? Critiques definitely welcome.
1 - relaxing heading to the church 45 mins late

2 - an emotional groom. Both of them were so sweet

I don't like #1. A little morbid looking.
I like #6. Too bad that lady is in the picture (to the left of the bride).

All sorts of technical considerations could be offered up but, for me, every image has a depth to it ..... there is feeling and emotion in all of them and that's a great job in my books !

Thanks Dan, and good luck!

I can understand the morbid feeling.
Yes, I wish the lady wasn't there, at that specific moment. This location was packed, but they chose specifically to include the bustling crowds. They also relished in the attention.

Thank you, the emotion is what I was seeking. Feel free to offer up the technical considerations also ;)

Very good pics. Job well done. Picture 6 needs straightening. Like the colors in that one.
Your timing for releasing the shutter is great. You really catch the emotion. Thats something we forget to talk about in this forum.
My other thought is that you have so many different color styles that your (there) album my look like it was taken by 4 different photographers.

Thanks for the comments. Do you think have such an array of different colours & tones is a positive aspect or negative? Just curious. There were two of us shooting but only my shots are posted.

You have some nice shots there.
1. i agree, looks kinda strange. She doesn't look peaceful and relaxed so it's kinda awkward.
2. the angle, crop, and the moment captured doesn't shout out that emotion that he's feeling. You can't really tell if he's overjoyed or if a bug flew into his eye. It's quite difficult to get that feeling through a lens even for the best of us so keep working at it, as I always will be.
3. is neat, though the hands are the feature but they look too bright? Maybe take the exposure down a stop mask to bring the people and the hands to a closer exposure.
4. is also nice, but she must not like her teeth or something? It looks like she wants to smile big but is holding it back and keeping her lips closed. No fault of your own... everyone gets a bride like that. Frustrating though. But it is a good moment.
5 is nice
6 is my pick of the litter. I like the industrial feel and cross processing is right at home in this kind of shot. nice!
7. is ok. Not amazing but not lousy.
8 is a very nice capture. great positioning and timing. Looks soft, and I don't know if it's web compression, camera shake or what, but it works for this shot.
great job. thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the critique Lloyd, appreciate the feedback & suggestions.
Yup, a bride with a pursed smile, I happened across it a number of times ;-)
The last image seemed soft out of the camera along with some noise, so some NN & then elected to use a gaussian blur & soften further for more dreamy look. Tried to make the best of what I had, just wished her hands weren't covering her smile.
