nice series of shots here,, the last few are really sharp and nice lighting,, hey,,, how do you like your Sigma 105 ? I'm considering selling mine and buy the Canon,, the focusing is somewhat clumsy on this lens,, and it searches hard under low light situations,, I realize that most macros will do that,, but I'm not real crazy about the switching from autofocus to manual focus on this lens,, what are your thoughts?

thanks guys
jaharris1001, the sigma 105 is an excellent lens, it has fantastic color and sharpness, very outstanding lens in my collection. The focus going in and out is odd, but that makes macro more fun IMO. haha. But if it bugs you, you can try the Canon 100 or Sigma 150. Both have internal focus. IMO Canon 100mm range is basically the same as the 105. If you need more range, then without doubt, the Sigma 150.
But yes, the Sigma 105 is definitely a keeper for me. I never use autofocus on this lens...and the focus doesnt bother me either. The quality is just amazing. I'll be getting the 150 also - in the future. But i will most likely keep the 105 too.

Good series of shot. I love the damsel in flight.
I love my Sigma 105. Since I am always in manual mode, I never noticed the hunting to focus or any awkwardness with the manual switch.
