I got the PS7 book, and I got the online help instructions, and I'm still confused. The defualt comands I want to do in a batch is to switch the image mode from RGB to Lab, then 8 bits to 16. Sharpen at a preset sharpness then switch back to RGB and 8 bits. This takes alot of time when I am doing several photos individually. I made it to File, Automate and Batch- Then I'm lost in the settings. Can some one walk me through doing this as a batch process, or is it even possible. Thanks for any help

Write an action that does the open file, does your changes, then saves it. Open automate -> batch, make sure override open and override save are checked, run it against a folder of images. Easy.

Ok that went over my head again. How do you write an action? I know this may all seem simple to you folks, but could you walk me through step by step please.

Google for tutorials to teach you the basics, or get the Scott Kelby book linked from the book thread in my sig.
