Too much contrast between the red & the B&W.

I don't think your bride will like this one :)

haha! i would have to agree with you on this one. and the fact is, that the bride and the maid of honor are best friends and she just might get what im trying to convey without the caption. ;)

thanks for the comment!

You've taken the focus off the bride and groom and directed the eye to the supporting cast.

Was that your intention?

Be very careful with selective colouring. It often serves only to focus your eye on parts of the image which don't really tell an accurate story. This is a wedding, not a bridesmaid's gown showing.

that was exactly my intention Dan. there are many pics where the B&G are the "stars" so i thought, why not take this pic and make the maid-of-honor the MAID-OF-HONOR. does it work? i think it kinda did, you wouldnt point it out if it didnt! ;) :D

thanks for the comments dude!

yes it works as you intended, but what the others are saying is that this isn't a good idea with this photo. You can always take a photograph of the maid of honor by her self, or the maid in the first plane and in focus and the couple in the background and OOF, or something like that, and THAT picture would be about her, and that picture would complement the rest of the pictures and tell a story. But in this picture, both subjects are competing for attention and the selective coloring makes the maid the center of attention. Not a good idea because it is competing with the couple in the first place. At least that's what I see. Other than that, I think it's a nice pic and the vignette looks fine to me.
