I have a hard time figuring out how to PP images. I guess I always fear that I will just make them look worse. This was a shot from my first wedding a month ago and is unedited.
I am awstruck by some of the work I see posted on this forum and hope to one day be posting images half as good as some I am seeing.
Also this was taken with my late Minolta 5D. Since then I have switched to Canon. (40D, XTi, Kit 28-135, Tam 17-50 2.8, Canon 50 1.8)

I'd toss it unless there wasn't a better one of her. If there wasn't i'd either brighten it up and do a B&W conversion, or if you want it color do WB, exposure, and maybe some fill light. I don't do much PP on my images generally.

I'm gonna have to agree with Tim here. I wouldn't PP it, I wouldn't even keep it. I'm sure she's a cute girl and funny expressions are usually cute on kids... but this expression isn't really cute... it's... unflattering.
But if you really do want to PP it, I would convert it to sepia and make it very high contrast and really bring the light tones up.

What kind of software are you using? I think we'd be able to help you out a bit more if we knew what digital tools you were using.

What a cute Kid... Too bad about the frown... Goofy as it looks, it's still kind of cute... I shoot "bracketed" so there usually is another pic with a slightly different facial expression to fall back on... Good luck... Maybe there is some "caricature" software out there...
