For those who use YarcPlus because of (or thanks to) its ARF filter, I found a way to get quite the same ARF thing without YarcPlus, in Photoshop.
This invloves using a free photoshop plug-in available at http://www.aim-dtp.net/aim/plug-ins/fifo/aim_rank_replace.htm
Use "rank 1" or "rank 2", for instance.
I like BB because its fast and the workflow is simple for most images so I did not really want to buy YarcPlus just for its ARF filter.
Since I retouch images which need special care in Photoshop anyway, I found the above filter useful and in all practical cases the output was nearly identical to ARF.
