Here's a new gallery (http://lightwriterpix.com/galleries/leafbug/)(only 5 photos) that shows the leaf-bug subject posing for the shoot. Let me know your thoughts and if you can id the creature. This format is a bit different from the other galleries in my website. Thanks for looking.

Marty, it would be good if the images were sized in the same way as the rest of your gallery. The images don't even fit on my reasonably large screen.

Wow, thanks, Ulster. The wow was for your photos. Truely amazing stuff. When I feel I'm getting a bit better at this, it's good to find a site like yours that can really humble me.
Yes, the images are 2048 on the long end, and that's probably bigger than anyone's monitor. But I like the option of looking at photos, especially macro, in the largest version and scrolling around. Most of the other photos are also 2048, but the program used for this gallery, Compupic, doesn't allow the broswer to stop down to a reasonable size. I appreciate what you're saying, and wish I could have it both ways. I should probably redo the gallery with another program. Thanks for taking the time, and thanks for raising the bar.

Another vote for making the images smaller. Some of them are too big for the screen and I'm using 1920x1200!

Thanks! Don't feel humbled though ... feel inspired;)

How about listing the images twice in the same gallery and mark them normal and large?

Thanks for your vote, Silverpenquin. It is nice to be able to see the pic as a whole, and it is nice to be able to view the photo in a larger version. Some of the photos I've seen on this forum are truely amazing when viewed at 100%. So exile has the best solution.
Thanks for that, Ulster. I will correct them. And, yes, I am VERY inspired. Last night I was showing your site to my son, and we talked about how we could "create" some great shots like yours, always working to get the most out of the camera and the least out of PS. Sometimes one needs to humble oneself before inspiration can be received.
Working to get my self out of the way,

P.S. Yeah, that rides alot better now. Thanks everyone, and I have the bug's id thanks to the folks in the Macro section. POTN, what an awesome forum.

Very cool. Keep it up. What did you use to get the shots?

Thanks, Ted. This one was one of those unexpected gifts of nature.

Thanks, Rich. It was the 100mm macro on a tripod, but for some of these I was only using one of the tripod legs, leaning in to get closer. I really need to get a focusing rail.
