Hello Everyone, New to Photography

I've been seriously thinking about taking up Photography for awhile now because I just love taking photo's but have always had the cheap point and click cameras. I'm thinking about purchasing a Cannon EOS 30 Camera and 2GB card and trying to find some small gigs for some extra money on the side.

The biggest issue I'm seeing right now is trying to purchase the camera and basic accessories that I'll need. I haven't had good luck trying to finance a Camera due to whacked out credit due to a bad divorce a few years ago.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about starting? I've shot with the EOS 30 Camera before when I buddy of mine let me borrow his for some photo's of my kids sports teams and all the parents were very impressed. He has since moved so I'm not able to borrow his camera anymore.

Any advice is appreciated.

If you try a major site, like B&H, they offer something called "Bill Me Later". You don't pay anything for 90 days and no interest. But not sure about credit. It's worth a shot. Just go through the checkout process, and when it comes to the payment page, select "Bill Me Later". It will let you know instantly if you've been approved. If not, then it just takes you back to the payment method page and you can either cancel the order or find a new girlfriend with a valid credit card.

The "BILL ME LATER" option is an instore credit card so to speak. They will have to run your credit in order to "BILL YOU LATER," given that you have good credit.

Well it's not "in store". It's a separate company from B&H. But the reason I mention it is that they are NOT as picky as let's say a credit card or bank. I use them all the time, but my credit is very good. However, I have a neighbor that has "shaky" credit and it went through. Just try to keep the total cost as low as possible, like just try for the camera, without a bunch of extra lenses for now.

Well tried the B&H route for the http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/415470-REG/Canon__EOS_Digital_Rebel_XT.html and Bill me later. It didn't go through so it looks like I need to figure out a way to save up that much somehow to get the camera. I have a friend who does a lot of photography work and said that he'd love to go into business with me once I get a decent camera for doing side work on the weekends.
