This flew over my house tonight. What do you think?

Sorry to say that, but *BAD*

I try to take pictures like these every day, because a lot of planes fly above my house too (acceptable height for the noise), I nearly never get a good shot, I nearly always delete them immediately after chimping.

They plane is too far away, you can't read the signs on it, absolutely not a keeper.

IMO if a subject (like this) doesn't fill at least half of the picture, you can only keep it for showing people and say 'hey, there are planes flying over my house', but not more...

Sorry for the hard words...

No problem. I hope there is something lower so I can get a good picture like a helicopter.

ETA: If there are any pilots here can you fly you plane and land in my drive way?

Try this : can't you go to the end of the runway of the nearest airport, the planes are then lower.
and you don't have to extend your driveway to a length of 3000 meters

I want to do that but I have not had time. But there is an air show coming up.

I would have thought this was more in-line with Shared Photos than it is for Critique!?

:o Do you work at or near an airport?

Great pic!

To get a pic like that I would need a 9999mm lens from my house.

ETA: I really need to get to the airport.

No. Our offices are right underneath an approach path into the airport.
