I read on another forum about a possible ST-B3 to replace the ST-E2 soon. The difference, Bluetooth technology instead of the infrared. Anybody heard or have comments on this?

Where did their info come from? Sure would be nice to have a better system (even like PWs) for getting wireless ETTL.

I wish they woulf switch to RF.

It's not like their breaking ice if they switched.

I thought BlueTooth was very range limited?

If they were to switch to RF then all those with IR flashes would be out of luck. I doubt this is likely as they have just brought out the 580EX2.

Possible that the ST-E2 will be replaced, but I really don't think Bluetooth will be part of the replacement. There isn't a single flash out there that would work with it out of the box.
