Does anyone know what colorspace Pekka uses in Photoshop for his editing?

The photos always look so nicely saturated, esp. skin tones...

I find that if I edit in AdobeRGB, the results when viewing on the web in a browser are always pale...I know that this is because browsers ignore color profiles.

So I was wondering if I should edit in sRGB for photos intended for the web and AdobeRGB for photos intended for a printer (Epson, Lightjet, etc)?

Thanks!

Read this page on his LinearSharpen as it will probably answer most questions. I believe he shoots either exclusively or mostly in RAW and his LS routine does all the conversions in Wide Gamut RGB mode.

Hi Paul,

You probably do best to choose a single working color space for all your images. Say AdobeRGB. (And Pekka recommends going to AdobeRGB and not straight to sRGB from the WideGamut RGB of the conversion.) You can do all your editing in your chosen space. For the web, before saving the final edited image as a JPEG convert it to sRGB. That should improve how it looks in IE. For prints you can leave the image as AdobeRGB or convert to the slightly smaller space BruceRGB.

On color issue, I also noticed that the LS action I downloaded from Pekka's web site needs some modification as Pekka suggested:

ADD SATURATION BY 12.

This is the problem I had before and of course it looks pale.
