Chickadee..

This is one of the grown chickadees that's been here all year, they've raised two babies and have shown them where the 24/7 buffet is located. The little ones are tiny, about half the size of this one....and a lot faster than their parents, still trying to get a pic of the little ones.

Nice composition Sharon, of a very pretty little bird. They are always so friendly, but rarely are still enough for a good shot! They regularly land on our hands for seed. Looking forward to the shots of the little ones.

Thanks Scott, the little ones seem to move faster than the grown ones....hopefully I'll get a pic of at least one of them though.

Thanks Mitch...I really don't know how I got that shot though as fast as they go from limb to limb. I really didn't expect him/her to perch there as long as it was there, but I managed to get 5-6 shots. This one's the best one of all 6.

Very nice Sharon. I have one that chirps to let me know he's posing for me LOL. They are a neat bird to shoot.

Thanks Bill....I love that chirp they do. I can always tell where they are by listening to which way it's coming from.

One thing about the Carolina Chickadee, they do NOT like flash, lol. I used the in-camera flash the other day and this little guy looked right at me, got VERY smug and just chirped his little heart out at me.

But to the above, great photo, I have a ton of these from this week I need to process.

Jon...usually all I have to do is look in their direction and they're gone, much less point the camera at them. :D
