Can anyone out there advise on a decent hosting services provider which EE can run smoothly on? I am using GoDaddy and its a nightmare.
Thanks,
Jil

I have the same question. I have been hosted with Kiefer Hosting Networks. Now my site is down... again.. and there is NO way for me to contact them. They suck. I am going to change hosts. Was going to go with Godaddy, but reading this I am hesitating. I have two questions.
1) What are the requirements that need to be in place with the host/my account with the host in order to install EE
2) Is there a good value host who has all this and has good reliable serveice 24/7, with real people to talk to on the telephone?
I would be most grateful for any help with this!

I am currently running mine on a 1and1.com Linux Business Hosting, and it works great. It has been up and running since July of 2005.
I wish I could tell you good things about their support but unfortunetly (NOT) in over 2 years I have not had to call them!
I Pay $10.00 US a month for it. (I think they are running a 50% off for 1 year right now though)
I get 3 domains, 250gb webspace, 2500GB bandwidth, 25 FTP accounts, 2500 email accounts with 2gb mailbox. and a bunch of other stuff. A lot for the money.
