Well...just want to share some photos of the two flash brackets that I currently using.
http://imageevent.com/d30photo/flashbrackets
One is from Custom Brackets (http://www.custombrackets.com/35mm%20Format/Index.html), the other is a compact bracket from Stroboframe model VH2000 (http://www02.bhphotovideo.com/default.sph/FrameWork.class?FNC=ProductActivator__Aproductlist _html___52784___STVH2000___REG___SID=EF2E4F23192).
The QRS-35 is very well made, very sturdy and nice to use on or off the tripod since the camera rotate around the flash bracket. This bracket has no problem supporting even the heavy Quantum T2 flash. The downside is that the whole camera/flash/bracket combo can wear you down for an event.
The VH2000 is very light and compact. You hardly notice it on your camera at a very attractive price of $69. The down side to this bracket it's not sturdy enough for a heavy flash unit like the Quantum T2.
Enjoy.
