I need some camera insurance. Here are my problems

1. I don't really want it to go against my homeowners policy
2. More importantly I bough the gear used and don't have the receipts.

Ideas?

have you tried calling state farm regarding there personal article policy? thats who I have my gear insured with for like $80/year for $5k of equipment.

used gear can be insured as well. you just send them the serial # and a print out from like B&H website or something, which should also work.

i have a couple of used lens i bought which I paid by paypal so I was able to go into my paypal account and printed out the transaction and send that in to my insurance company.

most of my gear i purchased online and i always keep the email order confirmation so i use that also for receipts if needed.

I just insured my gear and they wanted serial numbers for any item worth more than £100 so I guess that does away with the need for reciepts (although I have most of them)

Grange doesn't require receipts or serial numbers only a description and value. Serial numbers if you have them but not required.
