Measure your response time:

It took me about 10-15 attempts to get it under .3, how did you do?

That is an odd little application. Unfortunately, it doesn't measure your response time alone, it measures the latency of your network connection, too.

Right.. not.
Javascript is clientside. Meaning it is completely loaded onto your computer before you even start. And there are no variables exchanged with the server during it.

Since I have my Java shut down, that would explain a few things.

FYI Press start and them hold down the stop button. Then you just let go and for me it is faster.

Hmm, sometimes the color changes so quickly that I didn't have enough time to move the mouse pointer over to the "Stop" button... :?
For those who aren't fast enough with their finger, there's the Mark II.....

Java is not javascript. Java is programmed then compiled into applets and javascript is simply scripted and interpreted like html in html pages. Either way, the script or applet has to be completely downloaded to your computer before you can use it.

It's fun, but it really doesn't mean anything in real life 'cause you can see the pic starting to happen and click at the exact right time to get it.

20% under 0.3 using the mouse, consistently under 0.3 using the keyboard (in other words, when "cheating" :)). I can't break 0.2 though.
