Lightroom: keyword synonyms

I'm wondering what keyword synonyms are and how they work. I must have the wrong idea, tried a serch for a synonym and nothing shows up. :confused: So when do they actually come into play?

Erm, they're just a good theory at the moment.

They should export for searching in other programs, but searching within LR doesn't find synonyms at the moment. It's on the list.

I guess I'll keep using them then in the hope that *one day* LR will catch up with itself ;)
