I have highsided like that before, but I broke my collar bone in 9 places and cracked my sternum. He got off lucky for a highside crash. Most are very bad. By the way NICE SHOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you on that, highsided at about 45mph....never felt pain like that before. Didn't break anything but was black and blue from head to toe for weeks. Great shots of an unlucky rider.
National Yell, is there anychance of a quick run down on how to put a gif animation like that together?

Excellent! As a motorcyclist, I'd have liked to see more of the lead-in. Looks like he got a little aggressive on the throttle. Great shots, though.

Ken, Thanks, yeh the AF worked most of the time but I had some strange results with my 300mm f/2.8 + 2.0x bikes coming straight at me pics were soft and OOF, I had no problems shooting from the same location a few weeks ago, I need to think about this one:confused:
Great catch! Awesome sequence.

Thanks, I didn't have a bad weekends shooting, to be honest I feel a little sheepish getting these crash shots and posting them, that's not what it is about for me. Here's the rest from my weekends shoot.

Great series of shots, very painful to look at.
Ever have the reverse happen, been surrounded by 100's of bikers waiting for you to drop your camera??? I guess the spectacle is not as dramatic but the repair bills might be similar!

Why do they even bother putting their hands out? Its just begging for a broken hand/wrist/arm. Ive got a ton of respect for guys with the brass to ride bikes at those speeds.

I think in a situation like that it is almost impossible to fight your natural reactions.
