Silly question

What is the use of WA lenses like 17-40 L. I understand that they are used for landscape and architecture. Any other uses.

I usually use them for group shots in close quarters or if I want to get a lot in but don't have the room to back away enough when using a standard lens.

They're also good for taking close up shots of automobiles if you want that cool, "distorted" look. :D

Dunno about a distorted look.... my 17-40L is very useful in motorsport paddocks for shooting race cars...

i use my kit lens whenever I am taking pictures of parked cars or indoors so i can fit everything in...although I would rather have the 17-40..one day, I am on a break from my spending spree...trying to get my website up and running sometime in this life
