Have a few questions on the above units. Anyone here ever used them?? Will they work on my 400D, where does it plug in?? Can i still use my 580EX II and one of these together. Any other pros or cons??
Thanks

They do not plug in to your camera, they are triggered by another flash going off.
They are relatively weak (GN16 -- vs GN43 for in-camera flash in 350XT). There is little other information about them on the manufacturer website, so I have no idea if there is any output adjustment possible (to control their output vs. ambient or main light). They are something that can be used for additional lighting or apparently 'natural' ambient light boosters for architectural interiors, as you can set them into table lamps inside the lampshade!
If you use your 580EX the ETTL pre-flash will trigger these slaves prematurely!

Your quoted guide number is probably wrong. The XT has a guide number of 13/m, and I would think the guide number you quote their is also in M.

This is very likely the same unit:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/106894-REG/Morris_11173_Mini_Slave_Wide_Plus.html
It cites a guide number of 24 (in feet) at ISO 100.
So a guide number of 16 in meters is way off. In meters that would be a guide number of about 7.
So as Wilt indicates, they are anemic.

You can also trigger it by plugging that cord directly in to a PC port on your camera.

Does a 400D have this kind of port? Dont think ive seen one?? Also what is the verdict: Worth buying or not? Would be used alongside a 580EX II and Olympus FL50 (Radio Triggered)
