I asked her to smile for the camera, this is what I got hehe.

I feel there more that can be done with this in PhotoShop, but just can't seem to get it right.

(edit, re-sized and most of the colour information took out.)

Gerad,

Hehe... that is an interesting expression. :D You took a nice shot--it's a strong shot, full of expression. I would try converting this one to black and white making sure that there is a lot of contrast in the converted shot. I don't know why, this just seems like a good candidate for B&W. If it turns out good, post it for us.

Oh, there's one that'll show up at her wedding. :)

Funny photo, and I like what you did with the colours -- very striking.

(summary= Thanks :P)

Thanks Deva. Thats what I was thinking when I first saw it, when ever I see wrinkles in an image, I just think "black and white!". I tried b&w and didnt like it before this, but tried it again with a differnt approch this time. On the topic of "good" I am not sure if everyone else will prefere this b/w version, but I prefere it, I'm never good at judging weather others will like an image I like though.. hehe.

Hello again Gerad! :D

I definitely like your second B&W best. Good job with that. Personally, I don't really like the B&W with color. I think your full color photo is much nicer. If it were me, I'd keep the full color and that second B&W.

Good work. Looks like you have a fun subject to work with, and that makes all the difference! :D

Thanks for the encouragement :).
After having that photo for a few days now, I am not really sure that I like it. At the start I thought it was cool, but now I don't know. But I will keep it until I know for sure. Thanks a lot for your imput. :)

By the way, I really like "Subtle Interest" a lot, great picture.

Great photo, but I'm not sure what version I like best. Original colour or the colour/B&W version. The colour/B&W version has over saturated colours that just look wrong. The original is under exposed...

Not keen on the black and white or sepia versions. Loose detail in the lipstick smeared around.

Good photo for the family newsletter or Christmas card. :)

Hey Gerad,

Definitely keep the photo(s) around. They will become invaluable in the future! :D Glad to hear that you liked the "subtle interest" photo. I never thought I'd be taking pictures of my cat, but I find myself wanting to take pictures of everything! :D

Take care, and keep on shooting!
