I think the site looks great. Very simple so nothing to distract. But it's simple with good design - you don't need to be complex to have good design. I like it very much.

Agreed. I like it very much. I wouldn't change a thing that I noticed in my short visit. Good luck with it.

Very nice design and layout.
Wonderful feel to it all that matches the photographs.
A couple of 'minor' observations...
The photographs (and thumbnails) all could do with a title="" attribute. This would be most nice. Can also use the alt="" attribute, but title fits more with the work. Alt is intended for use when the browser can not render the image and must use an alternative method to display the item.
Also, you have the 'Home' icon to represent 'Back' instead of to your home page. I clicked the home icon, and it only went back one level...
When at the splash screen the "ENTRER | ENTER" should be "ENTRER / ENTER". Right now it looks like a method to choose the language used on the web site instead of just bilingual...
Oh, and also, you could make the thumbnails on the the home page clickable to the respective gallery pages...
All this is minor, and does not really affect the use of the site. The continuity of the site is good.

How did you do the Thubnails? I have been trying to do that for months. Of course I'm a Graphic Designer and not a web designer. *shrug*

Two ways: 1) make a new image of extra small size, and use that as a small version. This doubles your image size in server image directory, or creates a new thumbnail directory.. 2) force the image smaller on the browser. This shortens your work, but is really poor as you end up sending the full image to the browser, then it only shows a tiny portion of it....
With the last version, expect some users to give up on your site (as long downloads for thumbnails is downright silly for slow connections.)
So if you have an image called IMAGE.JPEG which is 1600 X 1200, just make a new copy maybe name IMAGE-ICON.JPEG which is only 80X80 pixels. Then use the small image as a link to the full size image.
