I have made up my mind to order the m42/eos mount from www.rugift.com

I am also considering a set of extention rings...

What I really need your opinion is whether to order a prime to go with it or not.

I have 18-55 standard rebel lenses. I have a 20 year old helios 44m 58mm f/2 with the m42 screwmount.

I do not want any primes less than 35 mm and more than 200 just yet. Yet, it is the Zenitar, Peleng and Rubinar that are considered to be the only ones worth getting.

I would want a 35mm prime, 85mm and 135mm, maybe 200mm. Should I order them brand new one from rugift? Or should I hunt down pentax and zeiss lenses?

Please un-confuse me

Hunt down pentax and zeiss lenses! No, actually try this MC Jupiter-9 2/85 and let us know! I have considered this one myself too. But honestly I think you can get pentax and zeiss from ebay cheaper and I would trust them more.

DocFrankenstein,

I don't want to scare you about rugift.com but read this from another forum:

"be aware with this company, if you have the intention to buy from this company i have had a bad experience with them they didn't send the products to you and they said that this is the fault of the local post, you NEVER receive the products , but you paid for it this is a dishonest company.

for those who need a proof i have some emails from an employee of the company"

This situation was my first concern.

There was a site kalinka.com which sold military optics to the US and canada. Same problems.
