So far I'm amazed by the DOF and clarity of this lense, it's delicious.

what aperture did you use?

by DOF, you referring to bokeh, right? because there is not much DOF in the photo. and for boken, it is indeed very smooth.

The reference is to the lack of DOF. Duh.

Its too late! You'll now have to take pictures of something heavier - with reps!

Really, that's a nice crisp shot, with a very soft background. You're going to love that lens.

I know you knew it, and I know that you knew the poster knew it. You know that I know that you knew the poster knew what he knew. So why even post a critical comment when you knew everyone knew what they knew. That's all I know.

Yeah, pretty nice. Does the lens cost a small fortune? Might have to consider this in my lens line-up. :)

thanks guys. Still trying to figure out what this "bokeh" is..anyone care to fill me in? Aperature was suprisingly (?) 5.6, as it was too light to go for the preferred (?) 2.8. Still learning about this lense, hopefully more to come.

If $70 bucks is a small fortune then yes...

Some strange housing for lights in a hallway at a school down the street from me. I have a few more pics from that school i will post here or on the share forum, almost everything there is symetrical..its a great place to practice.
