Any opinions on the Metz 60CT-4? Comes highly recommended from a mentor of mine...

Terrific, incredibly powerful, highly reliable and consistent Auto flash or TTL flash control (-- NOT the same as ETTL flash control !!!)
The high rating of 197 is for a 35mm (63 degree diag.) wide angle lens coverage and does not at all require a zoom lens 105mm setting to achieve!
Most pros who do weddings pooh-pooh the wink light as useless because it is a small harsh light source (vs. any diffuser you might use on the main head) which defeats the use of diffusion used to avoid hard edges on shadows!

They also make very portable off camera strobes. I have an older 60 (CT2 iirc) and I love it.

I've been using them since they were introduced--the auto does very good but you have to know how to use it in conjunction with you camera, especially if it is digital. I mainly use the manual mode.
The nice thing is that if one does go down you can still do a lot with 1 lite. I own 4 of them and also use 580 EXII's. I use the 60''s direct, thru an umbrella, bounce into an umbrella, into softboxes, off walls, fill flash, main flash, basically everything.
They have been a good investment and extremely reliable.
