I drove offroad for the last three afternoons trying to get to the top of this peak. I finally got there and the view is amazing. C&C is totally welcomed and highly encouraged. I will let some of you C&C before I ask you a follow-up question just so I don't bias your responses.

I think 1 and 2 need more light/detail i the shadows.

This is in Salalah, Oman. Oman is a country next to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. I've been working here for half a year. The peak is pretty hard to get to, took me three tries to finally get there with an SUV.

For 1 and 2, how would you guys approach trying to get more light and details on the side of the cliff facing away from the sun while shooting and not during PP? Would the metering help in this instance?

I was using a Sigma 10-20mm for these shots. I'm a bit unhappy with the sharpness of the pictures. Does it seem soft to you guys?

They are soft to me...am on my way to Yemen next week
