I originally designed my site for weddings only but seeing as ive got loads of landscape photos and ive noticed alot of wedding photographers in my area also do this, i thought why not.

As you can see my whole site is simple, nothing too flashy but right now this is what im going for. :D

anyways, the landscape part has just been put up last night.
i'd like to know if the loading times are ok for the simpleviewer galleries. if i'd made the images any smaller i would have lost alot of quality on the images.

Anyways, here it is.
Thanks.

the loading times are alright, i guess. what compression did you use on these? if it's jpeg, set it at '9' in photoshop, it's hard to spot the difference between 12 and 9 to the untrained eye.

yeah they have been brought down to between 8 and 9. any smaller and you could start to see bad compession.

Thanks

I like the gallery.

The slanted Glenfinnan picture looks a little out of place to me, especailly since inside the folder it's straightened.

Good luck, you are a talanted photographer.

Very nice shots! The images are small, but some took about 5 seconds to load & I have a cable connection. Maybe it's a flash + server glitch?

Each file is around 200-300 KB. do you thinks that too large a file size. like i said, any smaller and the images do not look as good.
Im not sure about there being a glitch. Im not too clued up on this side of things :o. Maybe its just how simpleviewer works perhaps?

do you thinks that too large a file size. Not with my connection, but I'd make them bigger at 200-300KB. Granted that there's a lot of detail in them which increases file size. At your pic size, I'd think that 150KB would be OK.
Not a big deal, really.

The galleries took a little while to load, but consistent with other simpleviewer galleries I have seen.

I like the overall organisation of the site but one thing you might look at would be the link back from a gallery to a "section". If I click on the SECC gallery and then want to go back and look at the Glenfinnen gallery I automatically click on the "Home" link at the top of the page, but this takes me back to the home page, not to the landscape gallery. I could click on the back button in my browser to get round this, but the site would flow better if there was a "back" button beside (or instead of) the "home" button.
