Sunset in Galliano, Louisiana. The visiting team's cheerleaders, the game, and a beautiful display of clouds.

Bill,

Nice capture. I might crop it just a bit tighter since not only does your light fall off on the left and right edges, but you've got a bit of barrel distortion going on there.

Wonder if it might benefit to be processed as a High Dynamic Range image in Photoshop? Might cut down the blown out sky and bring out the cheerleaders in the foreground.

Thanks for the input. Here's one with some PP and a slightly tighter crop:

kane,

THAT's the ticket! If you crop out the unfortunately distorted young ladies on the right and left, I think the image is one level further improved.

I dont think the ladies on the right dont look that bad, just the left looks a liitle un balanced, this maybe the Ticket, but Im not man behind the camera....:)

Is this a CS3 thing? As far as I know, the CS2 version only does HDR with multiple images.

The last edit lost the sunset. That was the reason I took the photo in the first place. I was stuck at the game and wishing I could walk over to Bayou Lafouche and shoot some of the boats with the sunset reflected in the water.

I'm a band parent. I'm just there to help the kids in the band and watching the light of the fading day. The football team won, by the way. If they keep this up, I'll be stuck at the games in post-season. :( ;)
