The only thing I remember about zappa was Dweezel and Moon Unit.

Must have taken some pretty serious repeated LSD use to come up with the idea to name your child Moon Unit..

But, I digress...

I don't doubt his music, it's the lyrics. Johnny Cash pulled off the spoken lyric pretty well. From what I heard Zapper didn't. I could give it a chance, but why not just listen to something I already know I enjoy.

I'm just wondering why Lonnie is jumping all over me for not knowing him.

Oh, man, Kody, you gotta go. We love both those places, and get great shots everytime we go. Take your wife and spend a day. The Trek is fantastic, and an all day thing. The Zoo is also great, and well laid out. Right next door to the zoo is a small botanical garden with a really nice fountain. We didn't know it was there until the last time we went. With the kitties :) Lions, tigers and cheetas to be exact. Here is a tip: when confronting Cheetas, or just hanging out with them, always remain taller than they are. They tend to be very shy animals and as long as you loom over them, generally won't try to eat you. :)

Never seen the BITE photo!! post it post it! ;)

I read the details of the gig jpg has going. Not the rights details but the contest details. I should submit the giant's causeway photo but for some reason I haven't done it. I created an account though in case I decide to. Do you upload full res photos?

Athena

The bite photo was pre-digital. I think I was 27 years old! The print is in Thailand. Remind me in 3 weeks and I'll scan it. :)

Athena, where do I go to submit to the passport section? And should I submit full rez or just reduced size ones? You can find it from the homepage. I sent full.

Athena so ya leave in about 3 weeks ..how long is the trip? Will you be staying back where you where ?It takes a couple of days to get home. It's long and exhausting. The first 1/2 of the way is with American flight attendants - and they are generally unpleasant. Then we'll have Asian flight attendants and they are kind and considerate. Not sure why the big difference, but it's remarkable.

Okay here is another taken today ~

Eli and I got a little silly at target yesterday and decided Puck HAD to be a chicken for halloween. when you put him in any kind of clothing he goes stiff and keels over (it is hilarious to humans, probably not so much for cats) so we had to do a 'mask' only.

I am told that even from the spectator side (which unfortunately I will shooting from) at Road Atlanta you can get real close to the action. which is unlike some tracks.

WE WANT PICS!

Maybe you can get a passing delivery guy to take them... ;)

My mom comes home and tells me that the mount dora community center wants to buy rights to this photo for posters

That's great news, Max. It's a great picture, I'm not surprised they want to use it.

Quick drop in to say I am not squooshed. I hope you all are well. I will catch up when I can.~Z

Hi/Bye Zane. I seem to be doing the same sort of thing at the moment. Hopefully I can get more time here soon.

Well, good for him!!!

I don't know if I've ever shared this story, but when my son was in Kindergarten, he lead a rebellion. The teacher, who was fresh from school herself and full of keen ideas, had the kids do something that Andrew just did not want to do. Neither did the other kids, but Andrew took it one step further. When the hated activity was to start, Andrew sat back at his table and said that he didn't want to do it, that it was stupid. Soon, half the class was sitting with Andrew, not participating. The teacher was flummoxed. She didn't know what to do. She had lost control of the class to a five year old.

Obviously, Andrew was in trouble, but we didn't have much confidence in the teacher either.

Secretly, I thought it was hilarious.

http://newquay-plus.co.uk/POTN/smilies/rotfl.gif - mind you, I must make sure Nathan doesn't read this post...

One of the most hit, non work site accessed by our people is e-bay. I guess everyone is running a second business

We don't seem to have much of a problem with ebay - mind you, most of the computers are in the open and overlooked. It seems to be horoscopes, general news and sometimes holiday booking. The block will only be for the busiest part of the day , when really there should be no internet use on the affected computers anyway... Managers computers will be able to be used on request if something urgent is needed.

Oh yes, but it has been a busy week and a busy Friday, I am on one more conference call between 17:00 and 18:00 hrs, then watch England progress to the qtr finals of the rugby world cup (they must beat Tonga) and then off to Brighton to pick up my new Harley ......

Sounds like a good time lined up, Neil.

We Want Pics!!!

Apologies, but you don't wanna do that. Those pop ups are there to safeguard you. If you turn them off and some malware comes along to make changes to your system, then it'll happen without you knowing about it.

I'd much rather click "OK" a few times than have something happen without me know it.

But then that's just me.

Yeah - that's why I have my browser set to ask before accepting cookies. That way I can decide and hopefully cut out the advertising and tracking cookies.

Apparently every Australian supports two rugby teams, that is Australia and whoever happens to be playing New Zealand.

 Sounds about right, Neil. It's like Manchester United in football. If you don't support Man U, you support your own team and whoever's playing Man U.

I went on holiday and visited Turkey shortly after Galatasarai (sp?) had knocked Man U out of a European competition. The guide was saying that he was dreading the next english tour he had to do - but all the holiday makers came on chanting for Galatasarai

I'm sure I could rattle off 100 artists you've never heard of Lonnie. Not listening to one specific artist from a genre does not = sheltered.

Hmm. But even I've heard of Frank Zappa, even if I hadn't heard much of his music. He was one of the icons of the era.

Not bad. I'm doing a week long course on C# next week, I'll be the lead developer in my current project in a couple of weeks time, and I'll be sent out to work in Switzerland in a couple of months.

Gaaa. Shame about the course, Pete. No doubt you'll have some spare time to get out and about with the camera in Switzerland though, won't you?
