and remember- some of us really love the Jackie Chan out takes. ;)
But Jackie Chan can...
ROFLOL!!! Tell me your charger isn't orange.
What's wrong with Orange?? If I had one, of the same year as the imortalized Charger body...it would be Orange. Maybe black.

well, it was a good choice to "pseudo" slide Robert...the new chargers are saweeet!!
I personally like the old one....new one is okay...but the wife does not like Dodge for some reason.

Out for a few...have to put Evan to bed real quick.

Puds, I think that's SO awesome that you are the official cartoonist for POTN book II.
Are you going to include cartoons of the past, or are you drawing up something new for the occasion?

I think they want me to draw some new stuff.... more photographic based. There's no way TR's would make any sense to anyone outside these chat threads. I've got a while before I have to submit anything.

Dan, tell me, just how skeered should I be of that look of Permie's? :D

Yeah. If you look carefully, the lines are a little squirrelly 'cuz I was skeered.

Actually, it's the prison yard that should be scared....

Off to do my chores.

*Lumbers off toward Jeep, runs into spare tire on back, slugs the spare tire with fist causing a wrenched wrist, attempts to jump over hood, causing unsightly damage to sheet metal and a bruised butt cheek, rolling unceremoniously onto the ground on the other side, getting grass stains on knees, standing up and hitting back of head on side mirror making stars appear in vision, unlocking and opening car door, attempting to jump in, but miscalculating the door jamb and bouncing side of skull off of the weather strip, sits in seat and tries the muscle flexing technique, but forgetting that the flexing technique lost its appeal twelve years ago. No way. I'm a real man. I'll use my shirt sleeve.

Trivia Fact: Ever see those buttons that are sewn onto the sleeves of Naval Uniforms? British or American? That tradition started with Adm. Nelson; he would sew buttons onto the sleeves of the midshipmen (they were pretty young back then.... 13-15 years old) as a way to keep them from wiping their noses on their uniform sleeves.

I doesn't look real bad Zane. To me you might try backing off the exposure a tad. I too think there may be a bit of shake there. Do you use a monopod for this type stuff, I know I would for sure.

Lisa, some great shots in there. Between the 3 of you there are more than enough to put a great album together. :)

I agree a monopod is great in lots of these situations. However, if the ground itself is shaking - as it can when loads of horses are thundering past...

And a big http://newquay-plus.co.uk/POTN/smilies/yeahthat.jpg to your comment to Lisa, too.

Thanks!
I need to get a hold of that car at the right time of day though. 3:00 in the afternoon in not the right time of day.

Here is another one from today.

http://www.24zero.com/Z/David-001-pst.jpg

Are they hoping to 'Live Long and Prosper' in that business behind the car Jamie. I suspect that their work is out of this world, as illogical as that may sound.

no monopod and shutters above 1/1000. Shake should not be an issue, right?

It still can...

I have had action shots at 1/1000 with camera(me) shake, especially while trying to follow the action. Using a monopod has really improved my number of keepers in some situations.

... Ah. Yeah, that.

"My brain hurts!!!"

In much pain there, Pete?

Nice panos. I've started one of Jackson Hole that I need to get back to and finish. It is only 4 shots as I shot landscape. From what I've recently read it may have been better if I shot portrait. Gives me an excuse to try again and there is a place in our conservation district where I can try it out.

You will like having a gallery. Looking forward to more shots. Nice view you have too.

that's what makes it so insidious, it is a catchy tune and very dancable and they keep repeating suicidal over and over!

Still catching up - wanted to comment on this song - we keep hearing it on the radio over here. My kids, aged 8 and 4 go round the house singing that they are 'suicidal' every so often. If I hear it come on now, I change the channel. It is a very catchy tune but I think the record companies ought to take some responsibility and not release these songs as singles. Leave them on the album maybe...

Good Day Everybody :)

Ok, so just what is SAP, anyway? (I still haven't figured out Six Sigma, either...)

I think Six Sigma is some management mumbo-jumbo used to weed out the sane candidates, based on my reading.

SAP is some complex business management customer management and planning application. Used by sales droids and management zombies.

I missed this before

Hi Lisa :D The wedding went  We got rained on a few times, nothing horrid, but enough to have to re-arrange food and such. I haven't even started going through photo's yet. I had a horrendous headache yesterday and until about 9:30 last night the computer screen was just too bright for me. Nikkie saved the day when she started placing and posing folks. If I ever get roped into another one of these things, she *will* attend as my assistant! She has tons more people skills than I do in these situations. Example: Me posing folk: "You. In the dress. Over there." Nikki posing folK; 'Hmmm, lets try the bride here, Emily one foot forward...tilt your head just slightly toward me..mmhhmm, thats it...." and so on.

I'm glad it went well for you :)
I'm hoping that we'll get to see some shots! (and hope your head is better) Good for Nikki (posing is definitely a learned skill...I think anyway ;) ).

Good morning folks. ;)

Thanks Becky. I was messing around last night with the shots I intend to put up in the gallery...I think I am in for a lot of time to complie. Gonna do slowly, but will have it done little by little.

I never thought of shooting a pano in portrait. Now that I think about it...it makes sense so as to be able to get as much scenery possible in the vertical orientation.

I think that's what SAP is, Guineh ;)

We don't use it but several of our suppliers have implemented it. Each time, it has resulted in between three and six months disruption while it is settled in. It will not allow them to send out stock, even if they have it physically, if it is not on the system.

I'm sure it is very powerful and very good. However, like you and Lonnie, I'm glad I don't have to deal with it.

At the end of the day, Terri, we've all got to pull together to beat this. I'm sure if we can think outside the box we can achieve a six sigma level of efficiency in combating this corporate speak. After all, there is no 'I' in team ;)

Back when I was out of a job, and quickly running out of money, Six Sigma thoroughly pissed me off. Everyone wanted a Six Sigma Blackbelt (tm) certified software developer. I really think it was a way of cutting down the number of applicants (This was in 2002 when there were plenty of software folks without jobs, and almost no jobs) I read up on the Six Sigma, and it seemed asinine to require it. I applied for the jobs anyway... :p (Not that that did any good...)

it's weird to think that my oldest graduated from high school the same year Kody and Mrs. theAgue got married!!

I may have mentioned here before about the time I was reminiscing with a coworker about someone else I worked with when I was first hired. Someone had sent flowers to her at work, but she wasn't there when they arrived. She was very pregnant at the time and had gone home early. I knew where she lived, so I volunteered to take them to her on my way home.

The coworker I was telling this to was quiet for a minute or two while he mentally crunched a few numbers, then replied, "So, the baby she had should be graduating from high school this month."

That's the very moment I realized I was getting old. And this conversation happened several years ago...:rolleyes:

 I asked a few of my friends that are similar ages as me, some had heard of him, some hadn't. I'll chalk it up to a generation gap.

I'll always be confused by those gaps. Some things span centuries. Some don't even survive a generation... It doesn't seem to matter how popular they were at the time.

Pictures?? I've seen it also. Its damn quiet. It did a fly by during one of the airshows here awhile back.

I didn't get any. I was outside, walking Ashley at the time. The plane was gone by the time we got back inside where the camera is. I'm sure I'll have another chance, though. It's base is pretty close to where I live now, and it appears often.

I was chatting on MSN Messenger with Alan (where *is* he, anyway?!?) several months ago about another encounter I had with it. I was driving north last year on Highway 14 (about where I live now, but I didn't live here back then) when I saw it heading straight toward me. Suddenly, it banked left and instantly disappeared. Spooky. It's not only quiet, but it *is* stealthy, too! At the right angle, it's completely invisible.

While I relayed that encounter to Alan, I also mentioned that my dad worked at Northrop while the B-2 was being built, and had been inside the plane many times. For about a year he was practically bouncing off the walls because he so wanted to tell me what he was doing at work, but he couldn't. When the thing was completed and unveiled, he brought home all kinds of things for me. Pamphlets, photos, and a little tiny pin in the shape of the plane. I've had that pin on a hat for the past 25 or so years. When I saw the plane this morning I suddenly realized... I haven't seen that hat since I moved. I think I left it in a corner of the closet of my old apartment!

That's awesome Lonnie that your Dad worked at Northrop during that time. I can imagine him bouncing off the walls. I get like that too when I know stuff about my job that I cannot tell my wife until its on the news or the people go to court. That is amazing how the B-2 disappears when at a right angle to you huh. That's how it came into the flyby at the airshow...no one even knew it was there until it was practically at the end of the runway starting to bank slightly so people would know it was there.

I was told that it was up at McChord due to the heavy clouds and they wanted to do some test flights in that type of weather... something like that. It was a cool experience. It was almost as eerie a feeling as when I saw/heard the fighter jets in the sky after 9-11...

Don't fall asleep while in there. I have a co-worker that does that often. Dang rocking office chairs.

I like pretty much all the comics that run in the Sunday paper....but Peanuts and Garfield are my top two.
