The only reason she got an account, is because she was trying to tell me about some engagement shots she saw in the WF, and I told her that if she signed up for an account she could see all the pics, and be able to save threads that she thought were interesting.

I'm 31 and refuse Myspace also....all of my wife's friends...and h.s. enemies...have accounts. This past loony obsessive friend of my wife has a myspace account that she had been writing in her blog about my wife and how she regretted getting all freaky on her and wants to have contact with my wife again. So naturally, my wifes friends egg her on to get an account to be able to communicate with loony obsessive...but i put my foot down and don't let her.

I remember when I first found 'chat' rooms...on telnet during college. Loads of fun..memories. Anyhow, when I finally got the internet, I never really like to chat until very recently when finding POTN.:D

I've had a MySpace account since back before it was "cool" and Tom actually still owned it. I still check in a few times a week, but I'm nowhere near as active as I used to be. I've tried Facebook a couple times, but I just can't get used to the interface on that site. It's been quite some time since I last logged in there.

And I have accounts with pretty much all of the IM thingees (but I use Trillian, so I can access them all from one program). Yahoo chat is getting irritating, though. All damn day long I get lonely desperate women (well, they claim to be female, anyway) begging to chat with me. I've learned that if I get an IM that only says "Hello", to instantly add them to my ignore list.

I recently had a short conversation with one of these women who started off with more than just an empty "Hello", so I did chat with her for about five minutes. She said it was the photo that made her PM me.

So, I went to my profile page to delete it. Only, it won't let me. Every time I try I get an error page telling me that "Yahoo Photos is no longer in operation". So, I can't change it and I can't delete it... Yahoo sucks!

I hated those IM things for many of the reasons you have already mentioned. Stupid guys pretending to be females and getting invites to all these gross cyber$ex rooms. Those IM chats were all over the board on subjects and got on my nerves...had it when Compuserve was around and never been back on since.

Most aren't too bad. The others have settings available where I can set it so only people who I've specifically put on my Buddy List can send me IMs. I've never been able to find a setting like that in Yahoo's, though.

I've only ever had one dog of my own. A purebred peke. It was yappy, would never potty train and really stank (even bathed constantly). Dan hated him :lol:

My parents had 3 dogs. A collie that I loved (and the only dog I was never afraid of)...sadly enough when he was 6 he developed an allergy to humans. It was horrible and finally he had to be put down.

They also had two irish setters. Lovely dogs. The best kind of dogdom :) My father hate dogs & they were never let in the house like the collie was so they were in a large kennel (he was a terrible pet owner...actually he was a terrible person and it just bled over into pet ownership, and I was glad for them when he found them new homes).

The rest of my pets have been cats. And there's been far too many to list.


My current dog desire is a King Charles spaniel. It's small (we don't have a large yard) but acts like a big dog (Dan's not fond of small dogs as a rule, though he has made exceptions). Sadly it costs more than you would ever believe!! And has many health problems. The ones in rescue seem to have the worst physical problems...I just think it's the breed. I'm inordinately fond of hounds too (they don't frighten me) but don't have the space to give one a good life.

when I was 3 we had a goldy named Fuffy.....I named it:lol:.....I couldn't say fluffy so it stuck....it died a year after having it...cancer

when I was 5 we got an amazing beagle named Angel....who ran away a couple years later....

since then I've had cats....for two years we had Snickers (gray tiger cat w/ black stripes) and Gizmo (orange tiger cat) who my mom gave away after my brother wouldnt take care of it.....

finally when I was 12 we had a cat named Vien (my mom took that name from the movie "chocolatte" with johnny depp....she has a thing for him:rolleyes:) she ended up being an outside cat who was the neighborhood cat whore....she had a liter of kittens...so we fixed her, raised the babies and gave them away and let Vien have her own life.

and thats it.....animal-less for 4 years:(

when ,my son was a small boy about 4 I'd say we where in this resturant at a mall a long narrow type place with booths on both sides bathrooms at the end ..anyways he had to use the restrooms so I began to take him and about half ways down this isle he says very loud .."there's the pee pot "
everyone laughed ..I hurried him along ..all red faced I'm sure .

I wish I liked seafood better than I do ..my favs are shrimp and cod ..don't care much for anything else but can do it like salmon or tuna are just ok ..to me but then sometimes I think its just the prep ..when I see salmon with a ginger sauce over rice ..I think hummmmmmm I could like this >Smiles ..

I'm not a big fan of seafood. I have to be HUNGRY to enjoy it... everything always seems to have a fishy taste. :(

My grandmother offered to pay for me to spend a week at Disney World. I'll probably only be staying at a hotel there for one or two nights at the most, and spend the rest of the nights in The Villages at her place (which was her whole reason for making the offer in the first place).

If it creeps or crawls in the ocean I will eat it. I am careful though to buy American farm raised or caught fish preferably of a species that is not being fished to extinction. Foreign farmed fish from 3rd world countries can be raised in foul conditions and some foreign caught fish come from terribly polluted water. Species caught in open sea are being trashed. Tuna, swordfish, and sharks are being decimated and no one is even looking, really sad. The Menhaden fisheries are destroyed and I bet 90% of people have no idea what a Menhaden is. I like a good fish caught in local waters be small scale commercial fishermen. A bit more expensive but worth it to me. Oh sorry I started to rant again:rolleyes:
