The weather is very weird today. It's been nice, cool, fall-like weather for a couple week, but this week it's heating back up to the 90's again. And, the Santa Ana winds have arrived with a vengeance. The drive home from work this morning was fun... Hurricane force winds blowing at up to 112mph, sending me sliding all over the freeway! I had the gas pedal on the floor all the way home, but could only get the car up to 65 or 70 because the wind was blowing against me so hard. I could literally watch the gas gauge needle rapidly drop. My mileage on that 53-mile trip SUCKED!

Now the whole damn freeway is on fire from here to Canyon Country, 30 miles south. I don't know if I'll be able to get through there to get back to work...

I need a nap! :rolleyes:

I haven't bothered yet, but I don't really have any photos I'm worried about. It is great for folks who do want to print photos for themselves, I know my outlaws have done a few, as well as my oldest daughter.

I never put anything online that's bigger than 1024 pixels on the longest size, and even those are watermarked twice, once with my standard watermark in the lower corner, and again by Pekka's exhibit engine stamping my web site URL in big, transparent letters across the center. The largest size that doesn't have that annoying EE stamp on it is 800 pixels.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I *have* had images stolen before.

You have to set up subcategories, I have done it and I have also bungled it. I do need to organize my SmugMug site better some day too. :)

Zane, I agree that SmugMug is not set up to work the easiest. There are ways to work around almost everything, but one should not have to do that much work, it should be easier. They have made lots of improvement in the 2 years I have used it though, I just hope they keep improving.

WOW.... very blue. Nice.
The water was a bright azure, the sky very blue for what we saw of it, everything else was a very dark green, brown or black. Of course there was white. Not much for bright colours other than a bit of foliage.

Not at all, it is one of the reasons I bought it.
I do use two smaller Pelican cases for when I am not clicking. Ok, that's not totally true, on a lake like this I set it in front of me so I can grab it quick. It does get a couple splashes on it, but nothing major.

I think Kody is using Zenfolio. I am using Flickr (sort of). I like it, but haven't considered using it for work. It's just a fun place to put shots and to see other's images. It's sort of a social networking thing, but mostly photographs.
