I'll be 40 in less than a month :shock:

Turning 30 was hard. Turning 40 is terrible. (Maybe if I was in better shape & etc, I might not be taking it like this...: )
It's really not so bad Lisa :) I tripped over 40 and I kinda like it. Much more freedom of self, much less painful self consciousness. I'm not even afraid to go the the store sans make-up and hairspray anymore :)
Well, since the BAHA MEN's version of Dancing in the moonlight wasn't on youtube, I decided to put it there. It's my first youtube video and I made some mistakes but I put together some birds shots and the music and viola my first youtube ;) ...

Wow Pete, here I thought I was spending lots of money lately! I just totaled what I am owed for this summer and the current campaign and I am comfortably past a 40D...but I will resist for a while. I really want a 100 macro, a 1.4 tc *and* a 77mm CP.

I must admit to also waiting to see what they come out with in terms of the 5D, if they increase the fps I am so there on noise handling alone.

I am going to list my 300D on craigslist locally with the sigma and see if I can sell that too, then my xt will go to my SIL with the tammy.

I love the silhouette of your wife in Jamaica, and the nightscape of Seattle with Mt Hood just barely visible.
That's actually Mt. Rainier dear. :) You can't see Mt Hood from Seattle... I know it gets confusing with all the silly little peaks we have over here on the left coast.

On a VERY clear day you can see Mt Adams from Gig Harbor and Tacoma but it's very rare. Haven't seen it for years.

I don't know that they're that great. Just fun, mostly for me, to look back at the photos I have taken over the last few years. I have a LOAD of just regular old snapshots and bad photos. That's what is in the "Personal folders" that are locked. lol I convinced my wife to allow me to use zenfolio as a fail safe backup... So I'm doing that too. :)

There are some fantastic images there the others are only great :-) You guys are all too nice. :oops: - Maybe some day I will have a Landscape Photographer of the Year award under my name too. :)

we had a really nice auction house in my home town. The auctioneer didn't shout...it was just very classy and a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I had to learn a long time ago to set a limit for the day and NOT go over it...so I rarely get "the fever" :lol:

I have a terrible 17" CRT at work that is dim and horrible for photo viewing let alone editing. I am hopeful that the flat screen will be better as well as take up much less real estate!
