Hippos and Elephants are my favourites!

These three are from my trip to Zambia a few years back - it was the most amazing experience of my life.

Where in Zambia do you live/did you take your photos?

What if someone is looking for a picture of the word SAMPLE? Now they might steal that from you...

Did you add some sort of effect to these?

Very impressive shots. Especially like the one stretching under the trees and the face closeup. Taken in a game park? Hopefully shot with a very long lens as these animals are quite territorial.

When we were in Namibia/Botswana/Zimbabwe a few years ago, we were driving down the road and a herd was lounging around on it. Being a lot smaller than they were, we waited for them to move, which they eventually did, although, when we went past, they started flapping their ears and faked charging us.

These were not the zoo or circus elephants we are used to here in the US!

Well done and great commentary.

I doubt very much if you can print a calendar with the word SAMPLE on the picture...

No effects were used here... only cleaned and color adjusted sometimes. Thanks for comments.

Thanks for looking and the great comments. These were mostly taken in Kruger National Park which is our largest game park, about the size of Israel. If it is a mixed herd of females and young, the females would be very protective of their babies and so will flap and mock charge. But they very seldom follow through with the charge. The ones you have to watch for are the young males of about 15-20 years. They are having a tough time in the mixed herd and take their anger out on anything and anyone.
