I like this pic. The damn snail was quite fast with moving his head though, so no shot from the front.
What do you think of it?

i believe that's a slug. the DOF is too limited, you can't even see it's whole body

I think it's a nice shot, but I agree that the DOF is too much. Nice focus though. Oh, and jojo is right, it's a slug ;)

Snail...slug. Ok, got it. We just have one word for it in Swedish! :P
Yeah, I know the DOF is a bit weird. I think I had it on automatic and the damn thing kept moving.

Hi Claire,
I think that's a gret shot of a creature none of us wants in our gardens... Really nice captured!

I disagree about the DOF. It works just fine this shallow. What kind of slug is that? Looks like the kind we've got all over the place here. They don't do much damage apparently, but people still hate them.

I know the DOF is a bit weird, but at the same time I kinda like the effect. :)
Over in Sweden we call them 'murder snails'. They are everywhere in the garden and roads after it's been raining! They also eat everything in their way. I have a pic of one being a cannibal, munching on dead worm!
I took this pic though of one on the road biking home. Today I saw one that was HUGE. Darn hard to criss-cross between them when biking.

I like it too, DOF is nice IMO. but are you guys sure it's not a snail (albeit a homeless one)? I thought shlugs didn't have the pointy tentacle eye bits... but then again - what do I know?
nice photo claire.

I reasonably sure it's a european black slug.

Yep, it's definitely one of those. And we probably have all of them in our garden...
