Today I sold 4 pictures! This is the first time that someone actually gave me money for them, so it is a very good day :D !

I sold 2 11x14's and 2 5x7's. Hopefully this will just be the starting point and I will be fortunate enough to sell many more.

Here are the pictures I sold for the 11x14's

The 2 5x7's were also of Rainbow Lorikeets, but I don't have them posted on my webserver.

Just wanted to share my excitement with everyone and say thank you to all on this board that have helped me with all of the advice and tips.

A special thank you to WHO10 also as all of these pictures were taken with his D60 and 70-200 4.0L. I ended up buying the camera from him, but these pictures were taken when he was letting me borrow the camera to try it out :D .

Nice pictures!! How did you go about selling them? I've seen many people post different web sites that are used to sell pictures so I was wondering how you did it.

I got lucky. I brought them into work to show people and my boss fell in love with them. She placed her order that day and started telling her friends about them. So I am hopeful that a few more orders may come in.

I ordered the prints from Shutterfly and had them shipped to me, then put them into the frames that she bought and presented them to her.

I think the sites many are referring to (ie. Shutterfly) are really great if you take pictures of kids sporting events, weddings, group events, etc. where you might have a large audience for your pictures. All they need is the website address and they can order prints without your involvement. I may sign up for one of those in the near future.

That's awesome!! Those are lovely shots and it's nice to hear you found an appreciative audience for them.

Congrats ... love the shot of the bear ... amazing how just bringing your work into the office turns into a money-making venture, isn't it ... I've done the same at my work ...

Nice pictures!! If you like Shutterfly.com then try Yorkphoto.com. I have used both and gotten great results from both and York is a good bit cheaper(summer special... $0.12 4 X 6's), especially when you get up into the big pictures!! Congrats on the sale!!
