This shot was taken using a Canon 430EX at 1/2 power in manual mode. Since I don't have a softbox and I wanted something softer than my umbrella can give me, I fired the flash through a white pillow case.
A lot of light spilled over to my black background on the first shot, so I used a piece of black poster board as a BOGO. The only piece I had was a bit small, so I still had to burn the corner of the picture in processing to remove some highlights.
