rather a bit big for a baby.

It´s the Canon EF 100-400L IS USM and it´s my first "L"! :D

What should i go for now? A 17-40L? Don´t want to spend big bucks on a 16-35! 8)

lol i just replied to someone else, saying that i just received a 17-40 this morning. dont hesitate it is a superb lens and the shrpness is there.

i dont think the f4 is a problem if you have a 10D or MKII. I shot in a dark church at iso 800 at 1/60. At 17 mm this speed is enough. One thing that amazed me was the good balance that this lens provide on a 10D. Compare to the 24-85 i had before, which i think was too light.

Anyway, go for it, it is a good one! ;)

Hi Dan,

thanks a lot for your kind reply, opinions and suggestion concerning the 17-40L.

Yes.... i´ve read quite a lot of positive things of this lens. May be i should´nt hesitate and just go for it asap. As you can see there is still some kind of WA lens missing in my collection :)

BTW: I had the Canon 75-300IS for some time. A very nice Zoom lens and not bad at all. I did make many nice shots with it. But now it just was´nt good enough any more. That´s why i sold it and got the 100-400! :D

I´m happy with the 28-135IS. It´s my walk around lens.

Regards
Ed
