Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum and relatively new to photography. I use a Canon EOS 300D with the kit lens.
Here is a picture I took recently at a safari park in England.
Any constructive criticism welcomed.

Seems really soft. Was the original? Exposure is good.

Yeah, the original was soft too. It was a really cloudy day so maybe the aperature was a little too wide ?
Should I have gone for a smaller aperature and higher ISO ?
God, I sound like such a learner :oops:

Couldn't hurt. I think a bit of noise would have only added to this shot. Your focus was slightly at fault thought too, I think.
We're all "learners." Even the pros are always learning...

I think it's great that you didn't cut off any body parts. That's a mistake I all too frequently make. But I am getting better! :lol:
