I am visiting the Montreal area (specifically around Magog) in the begining of August. I was wondering if anyone knew of good places to photograph wildlife in the wild. I am really interested in fox photography, but any wildlife will do.
Thanks.

The Magog and surrounding areas are teaming with deer ( my favorite  ) Two areas close to the lake are Bromont ( west of Magog) and slightly to the east, Sherbrooke. An evening or early morning cruise along the back roads will produce a lot of deer.
There are so many deer in that area that it is difficult to to pin point one area. My favorite area is just to the east of Mt Bromont. There are lots of small fields just off the mountain and deer mass in them in the evening. They are a little shy as this is a very popular hunting area. Take some long glass.
I've see fox about but just by chance. Do not really know of any specific area.

Scott,
I was cruising home last week from the Abatibi via Parc des Laurentides (North of Quebec City) and came upon Barney by the side of the road.
The parc is about 200 km long and stretchs from Quebec City north to Chicoutimi. ( or south from Chicoutimi to Quebec City depending upon where you live. ) Beautiful area with lots of mountains and lakes. Also a lot of moose. Last year there were over 150 moose/car episodes. You really do not want to drive it at night.
Also saw a few bears heading up on the Monday but they were high tailing accross the road and into the bush.
Just because I have a set of horns to fit Jessie doesn't mean I'm hung up on deer
