Installed 1.2 and I can no longer "Import from Device" when connecting my camera. I reverted back to 1.1 and it works fine as usual. Any idea's what's going on there?
thanks!

No idea, I installed 1.2 right over 1.1 (use the full download) and LR kept rolling along.

Another with a smooth upgrade, no problems reading direct from 30D

There is a new bug with Import from Device on Windows which was discovered after the 1.2 release unfortunately. Couple of threads running on the U2U forums. http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bca146b
Few workarounds for now - take your pick:
1. Copy to hard drive and then import as normal
2. Use the standard import and navigate to that drive, and carry on as normal
3. Use a card reader - the issue is only with Import from Device (which is a standard import anyway, but skips the first dialog)

Victoria I think I understand you here but if I may clarify. Even if I use a card reader it still won't allow me to Import From Device. I have to click Import from the Library module and then choose the device. Is this what you mean in #3?

Sorry Mike, yes that's what I meant. It's just the Import from Device shortcut which doesn't work - any of the alternatives using a standard import work correctly.

OK thanks. That is what I thought and experienced. Not too big a deal to have to click on the device, but it definitely would be nice to get that feature back.

My upgrade to 1.2 does not allow me to "Import from Device" either. The function is greyed out.

Yes Tom, it's a known bug. It got broken in 1.2 just before release and no one noticed. It'll be top of the fixes list for the next release.
