I've been through all online tips and tutorials I could find, browsed through image galleries and forums (including this (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53846)). Didn't find much on how to create decent photographs of babies and newborns.

You get tons of books on taking pro shots of models, nudes, pocket lighters and whatever, but little to nothing about babies, although I guess more of us take pictures of babies than models (at least the parents among us). Those books I have found so far are written at noob level for P&Sists. Some hospitals offer images of their newborns and the quality of these is so bad that it makes me almost cry >:(

Are there advanced level books on how to light babies or newborns properly? Which color blankets or backgrounds to use? Which poses work well for newborns and which ones don't? Where to put the flashes and where to aim them? How to use a strobe so the baby doesn't start crying after the first flash? Lists which poses work at which age? How to arrange decent lighting for kids who can't sit still for a minute and are to young to listen to you? How to take pictures of babies in winter if not enough light shines through the damn windows to get decent exposures? How to take pictures which don't look like studio albums, but professionally lit candids?
