The 2nd one is my favorite. The 1st shot would be more complete with some clouds in the sky.

Very nice. Some day I will start learning how to shoot and stitch pano's so that you don't see lines. Mine are all horrible that I have ever tried. lol

Very nice. Some day I will start learning how to shoot and stitch pano's so that you don't see lines. Mine are all horrible that I have ever tried. lol I stitch them 3 ways... layer by layer in Photoshop if I forgot to lock in the exposure and the images are all out messed up. Takes forever!
2nd way is with Photoshop and the Photomerge function. Works really well if you have the same exposures in each frame...or very close. The 3rd way is with a neat little program from http://www.arcsoft.com/products/panoramamaker/ Panorama Maker 4. At first I thought this little program wasn't going to be worth a darn. WOW, was I surprised. It produces the best shots ever. The only thing I have noticed if you have to on occasion...take the photos back in to Photoshop and adjust the tones. Other than that... this little app is a keeper for sure.

The 1st shot would be more complete with some clouds in the sky. I agree... but... the skies were clear and the air was fresh.

Thank you all for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the shots.

Thanks again.

Hi,

You obviously have this mastered so could I ask a question or two? When I set my camera to manual (digital Rebel XTi) and select F14 and 1/500, which was what it was metering, then shoot overlapping pictures...after stitching them with Elements 5.0, the sky has the most noticeable differences in light. The frames don't match, in reference to light and dark pictures. I also noticed that the entire run of pictures was much darker than when it's on automatic. If I wasn't such a bonehead, I could probably figure this out. But I can't...can you help me, please?

Thanks...Vince

No worries. You need to lock in the exposure. This will help to reduce the different tones in the sky. Not sure what you are shooting... I think I set my f/stop to f/8 or f/11 if I want the sky really deep blue...f/16 and up with a low ISO. Have a look in your manual... you should be able to lock in your exposure with the XTI. The button looks like (*) or at least when the shot is locked this is what you should see in your camera.

Hope this helps.
